    Oil Leak from Drain Plug

Fighting oil leaks on my E30 like everyone else, but one area that is leaking that really shouldn't is the drain plug. I already bought a new OE drain plug and installed a new OE washer. Its still leaking. What would you guys do next?

New threads. It's aluminum, not hard to helicoil. Just pour the used oil back through it to flush the chips out afterward.

re-tap or chase it first. it's possible to clean a cross thread on aluminum and still get a seal.
