Is this normal for new engine mounts?

    Hi all,
So I just got my M20 back in after a mild rebuild. It took a bit of wrestling but I got the mount bolts to go into the brackets. But now looking at it, I'm a bit worried that these mounts are really angled and something is wrong.

They are new mounts so hoping you all say that this is normal and they will just settle in after a bit ...😬

Ah sorry, should have been clearer. It might be hard to see in the pics but I meant the angle or rather the shape of the mount. It's not being compressed perfectly vertical, it looks to me like it's being compressed diagonally a bit. Hopefully that's normal ...?Click image for larger version Name:	PXL_20260426_044200572~2.jpg Views:	0 Size:	163.6 KB ID:	10160181

i'm not sure you can even install them incorrect as long as the dimple is in the right spot.

Cool, thank you! That's what I figured... Just looks weird and didn't want to put everything back and then find out I need to pull the mounts out again.

They are inclined hence they are in some shear by design
