    m20 itb's?

Alright, so I have been doing some research and I am interested in getting itb's for my future 3.1 stroker m20 turbo. I was looking @ dblas but I do not think that the price is worth it, so my question is are their any vendors that puts itb's togther for an m20 for cheap. And better yet can this be easily done with a DIY set up, if so which throttle bodies are best to use, euro s50, s38, or s54? And what esle would be needed, thanx in advance.

    check this link out

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

in all seriousness, someone not very far from you is coming out with another itb set up.

I was thinking about making a few M20 ITB setups, I just dont think there is an inexpensive way to do it right. I think I could do it, at my cost for around $2k, which means I would need to sell it for around $3k, and from there why not just buy the Dblias which looks alot nicer than I can do. Im not convinced the performance gain is worth the price. That said, I may be dumb enough to do it anyways!

hey.. why buying plug n play kits ?

                make your own :)

use the m21 crank and 135 eagle rods with custom made pistons.. the 2.7 you get out of that will easily last for 850whp

My question is, why do you want ITBs?

there are tons of other things that will give better returns on HP for the $.

ITBs come on mad powerful engines. Therefore, adding ITBs = magick.

I really want the best set up for my build, that will give me driveability, and will be durable. Do you think that just honing my intake manifold will be better than itb's, if you think so why? Thanx.

you are 100% correct. but what the hell does that have to do with anything. I can spend $3000 on ITB's to get 10-15 hp, or I can spend $100 to get my 1 throttle body bored and get 3hp.

In all realty a $3000 investment into the engine of a $4000 car makes no sense. I was just saying I have a $4000 to go to "finish" my car, and I just laugh. It is the dumbest project I have ever done and that I can never get even 10% of my investment back just make me laugh at myself.

wasn't speaking to your post. More of a question to the OP. it can make sense if you've already done everything else, the stock manifold definitely could be improved, and ITBs are an obvious choice. But if all you've done is chip, exhaust and maybe a cam, I have to ask, why?

it has been my experience that the stock throttle body is more than adequate for an 2.5L motor. It is not until you bore and stroke 2.8 and beyond that you need to get more air in.

we have a 2.5 at 12:1 with a 300+ cam still on a single throttle body that has been extruded.
