mine are from a Mustang.. I got the used set (of 8) for $45 iirc, and I sent 7 of them to Witch Hunter to get them cleaned and flow-tested for $140..
there's no need to buy new ones.. just search the forums - they're out there..

Yet claims that stock injectors are only good for 180hp still persist.....:(

they must be running near 100% DC though. there are reasons that's not a good idea.

Alpina claimed that as BHP, 180whp would be the limit if the .4-ish BSFC is true for the m20.

I looked at the Alpina .bin file this morning and there's very few spots the inj hit full open (~98%-100%), to my surprise. Mainly in the power enrichment table. They definitely were on the edge of the stock injectors, though, and agree that it's not good on them to be running that high of a duty cycle.

i think it is a claim and that its likely closer to 200 but thats just my opinion. it does show however that there is no basis for needing to upgrade injectors with basic bolt on mods if a properly worked 2.7L can handle it without problems, i don't thinnk it is a great idea either but........noone is suggesting to do the same. People seem to want to add bigger injectors or AFPR instead of getting a proper tune (adjusting existing injector pulse width). Even with crappy old injectors i'd be looking to get something as close as possible to the stock size even if 19lb are cheaper but at the end of the day if you get a chip or whatever that was done with xyz injectors, then use xyz injectors.

Very true. There's no replacement for proper chip burning or standalone. I also notice a lot of people just adding fuel for no reason.

Just an after thought. There is enough meat in the block to bore it .50 over right?

If memory serves the m20 cylinder spacing is 91mm. Stock the b25 is 84mm bore, leaving 7mm between cylinders. MM use 86mm pistons and there doesn't seem to be issues with 5mm between cylinders. I think digger has his block bored out to 86mm in his b31 stroker.

In short half a mm over is fine.

s54B32 has the same cylinder spacing (91mm) and an 87mm bore, stock. granted, the block was designed for that, but the cylinder spacing of a .050 over bore isn't anything to worry about.
