It says to replace it if higher. I also I will replace the OBC relay first (per the other thread)
    UPDATE>>>>>>>>>
replaced the coil with other one (used) similar numbers than the one in question and i did not get spark. A used OBC relay was also replaced but no luck. These items were from a running 87. Next i will go ahead and try to get a Coil within the BMW guidelines and see what happen. I believe it is a cable or cables that I have not plug them correct.

Is power present at the coil when the ignition is on? If so the possibilities become:

        1) no timing data to the DME
        2) no power to the DME or a bad ground
        3) no start signal to the DME.
        4) a wiring fault between the DME and coil
        5) a bad coil
        6) a bad DME
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

In the effort of trying to connect my OBC harness correctly. (since I believe this is the one that is giving problems with the no start)

On the OBC wiring harness there are two branches that comes out after the large (green) pin that goes to the OBC computer they are:

A)A female Plug that comes from the OBC harness to the DME is a plug with a GR/RED, YELLOW/WHITE and BLACK wires (see photo). The DME plug and cable are GREEN Large,GREEN small and WHITE therefore both plugs wire colors does not correspond. I'm I missing a different plug/cable to the DME?

          B) A male Plug with a number 23 GREEN/RED, YELLOW/WHITE and BLACK that connects to a similar plug in a diffrent harness since i found a male with similar colors of wires. Is this connection correct?

          C) Does the OBC relay needs to be plug or not since it can be interrupting the power to the DME due to the CODE feature (which I do not want) The plug that comes from the OBC harness is green and goes into the OBC relay (rectangular - female); however I do not have another green plug from a different harness that goes into the OBC upper plug (rectangular with rounded corners). Terefore shoudl I connect or not the OBC relay if one of the plugs is missing?

Please bear in mind that I'm coming from a 9 buttons and during the dash swap i did the 13 buttons swap and the harness that I'm using is the one that came with the 13 buttons.

            IT started!!!!!!!!!! It lives

Well after all the OBC harness was the culprit I follow this post http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...=197833&page=2 and replug the C104 with the recommended set up and it started I also double check my main relay and change it to one that has both 87 since i had the wrong one that is one 87 and one 87A.

Now what is happening is that you need to be maintain the ignition switch on (hold it while starting the car) and continously pump gas to have the car run but once you let the switch go it dies.

I will keep on trying and maybe it needs to have steady fuel (since the car had no fuel on the rail sicne I took the intake manifold and the rail off for a major cleanup and paint and i had done a TB replacement therefore i need to do a bleed of the system also)
