Help! are these pistons salvageable? i need a R3V opinion!

Alright guys so my timing belt tore because a screw somehow managed to get past the timing cover and into the timing assembly and just mess everything up.

^^This all happened as i took my beloved e30 out for its first drive with its new valve train :(

So all of my exhaust valves besides 6 and 2 are are bent and wont close completely when i turn the valvetrain. but thats no big deal i have a warranty on my head. on the other hand my concern is the pistons im not exactly sure if i can salvage them, but i would like to get your opinion on the matter, my friend says that there no good throw them away and get new ones, i think they're salvable. either way im willing to do whatever it takes to get this car back and running. id just like the opinion of my fellow r3vers. thanks guys. ill list them in order from front to back. i mainly concerned about piston 1.

i know i know, ive seen worse and way more messed up pistons, im just concerned and would like some opinions from you guys.

personally it's been ok in my dad's car but his belt didn't tear the tensioner snapped and got very loose and the belt jumped a few teeth. his damage wasnt nearly that bad. but if it was me, id replace them.

i do have 6 "i" pistons+rods sitting around if you want them for a good price lmk.
    Much wow

I've seen much worse on running engines. I'd deburr the edges left by the valves and make sure the original relief is still there and call it good.

Those pistons are okay to use. The dings don't go near the edges of the pistons, so little to no chance of ring damage.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I agree. It's the valves that take the brunt of the damage while the pistons typically just get nicked.

I'd be curious to know how your warranty claim went since this clearly not the heads fault. GL

its a no questions asked warranty, so they should be able to exchange whether i found something in better condition, or if it got messed up for any reason
