Hydraulic rocker arms, maybe work for the m20?

no idea if this is a feasible idea for the m20 but is it worth a try?

seems like a complicated way to fix something that doesnt really need fixing. if you want a different mechanism for adjusting valves i would use the elephant foot type. sure you still need to manually do it but it is not difficult to do and doesnt need to be done that often.

I agree, but to always have correct adjustment and for the people who are racing m20's, wouldn't this be a benefit?

I'd rather spend the money on that new roller rocker setup. The porsche style adjusters work well.

            Mitsubishi did it this way.

            It wasn't bulletproof.

whats the point? they made hydraulic rockers for lazy people who don't like adjusting valves... i guess if you have a v12 its a totally different story (so many valves to adjust) but in the end, you DO get better performance with the metal on metal set up... thats why european cars didn't change till the 90's to the hydraulic set up!

really, the Porsche/elephant foot style adjusters are good - way better than the stupid eccentrics on the M20. I bet the cast rockers wouldn't have nearly as many issues breaking if they were made the other way, as the place they most often break are at the "fork" where the eccentric goes.

^^^ e21jps engineered them, and had someone make the cam and rockers for him... I don't recall where the actual thread was posted that had all the details on making it, but here is a build thread on his new motor; this post specifically has a photo of the set up.

It's some neat stuff and all but for the vast majority of us I agree with below...
