      okay im getting frustrated my starter that i received from an 735i/L is not reaching my flywheel at all wut did i do wrong. Please help!!!

        Did you try starting it? It extends to the flywheel when you start it. Once the engine catches, it pulls back away to let the flywheel spin free.

          Yea the teeth don't just sit on the flywheel all the time, only when starting.

            oh shit now i really feel like a like joemadoo said i thought it was supposed to sit on the fly wheel but it all makes sense now

                  got a lil progress today finally got my flywheel installed the clutch nd the tranny just need to tighten up some parts nd hopefully drop it in the car so i can finally start wiring it up

                        I hope to be dropping my motor in sometime next month. Me and my brother in law are going to button up the motor this week. I'm waiting on my motor mounts and rack.
