    Ok, finishing up questions.

    First, where does this go?

Second, how does this hose fit? It hits both the belt and the little stud on the timing case cover. Hose is for a e32.

The first pic the bigger hose goes to your charcoal canister and the other thin end goes into one of the nipples under the middle of the intake manifold.

Me thinks you're missing a bolt in your lower timing case....

Yeah I am, but that's not preventing the hose from fitting.

I chose to shave that bolt right off. No rubbing = no bolt.

And he is right about the canister...you don't need the purge valve if you choose so, but it's a good way to reduce hose size.

I cant engage reverse without forcing the center console over. I have new engine and transmission mounts and an unmodified e28 shift console.

How have you guys solved this?

Never took it out. The bushings are pretty worn, but not that bad.

It's not the bushings. The shift rod coupler/joint...the part that attaches to the gear selector to the rod is no good. Replace that with a new one and see if that works out better.

I'd replace both. I wouldn't want to go under the car to tear apart the shift linkage again...pain in the butt.
