Are you still planning to trade this in for that Saab 900 when you the engine is done?

Almost done with the engine, had a little fuck up moment with the tentioner and had to remove the timing cover to fix it so I got another gasket to order now.

DOH, oil pan gasket got messed up in the process...

as it sits now, need to slap oil pan and do accessories and wiring.

thanks man, I can't wait to get this thing finished though. I am just down to clutch kit/guibo/engine/tranny mounts.

those are mounts from Joe, probably 5lbs each!

Well, no rings yet. I did get the mounts finally. Tomorrow will do some work on the bottom end and will get some pics of the progress. Going to stop by a machine shop and see what they say about the 533 flywheel, I think it's a good idea to get it re-surfaced since the clutch will be new, but I would like a second opinion.

Crank will come off to install these

I think so, I'll paint the valve cover first and then sand both.

Intake looks good, are you going to polish the raised fins and the "3.5"?

Manifold has been painted, block and valve cover is next. Fingers crossed on rings arriving before saturday.

Picked up a 533 flywheel today as well, I guess the starter that I have is the "bigger" one, not sure if makes any difference to swap for a smaller B35 starter... any thoughts on that?
