In the process of replacing my clutch (as most of you know by now from all the help threads ) but once it came out we couldn't believe the condition the old one was in!

Let the pics do the talkin:

Thanks for all your help along the way! Odds are that I'll be asking for more in the near future!

holy hell that's the most worn clutch I could even imagine. I wonder how long they were driving it with the busted pressure plate. Looks pretty obvious that's what stripped all the meat off the one side.

How does the new clutch disc look to you guys? I'm debating whether or not to buy a brand new one or just go with this one. Does it look like it has some good life left on it? About what %? Thanks!!

How was your shifting? Good holding power? Any slip?!

                        No worries man

Anyone know if a m44 clutch disc will fit in an m42 dual mass? I found someone else with one from a 96 318is. It looks the exact same from pictures

You plan on holding this car for a while?

Why not go ahead and invest in a lightened flywheel set up or do you need the car up and running asap?

So far I'm not sure what the plan is. I got an amazing deal on Craigslist that I couldn't pass up. The clutch was gone when I bought it so I was just going for the cheapest path to get it up and running Without going over what I paid (i dont need it running asap, i have a dd e36). I got rid of the a/c when I did all the timing components. It's a convertible so I figured what the hell.

What sort of benefits would the lightened flywheel give me besides the obvious weight benefit?
