I blew the head gasket once from overheating and shaved the head and put new gaskets on. Drove it for about 2 years and this has happend.

You should see about getting an exhaust gas vapor test kit. It's a little disposable chemical test that you basically connecto to your expansion tank fill hole and it'll change colors if there are exhaust gas byproducts present.

If it was overheated, there's a fair chance that a crack developed around an exhaust valve guide.

Head gaskets and stuff are readily available at Pelican Parts and other places. As for the head, you could get a used one from another member or see about having yours welded. Assuming that's the issue anyway.

That test doesn't always work. When my head was cracked I did the test because we had one laying around at work and it never gave me an indication of exhaust gas. I held it to the actual exhaust after to make sure it was good and the color changed.

If you're seeing bubbles in your overflow there's a good chance you have a crack in the head. When I overheated mine. I pretty much did what you did, replace gaskets ect. And it took a year and a half for symptoms to show up. My compression numbers were also normal. Go figure
