I like it for highway cruising. Doesn't feel too much slower than 4.10. It's fun to wind out.. I have had small case 4.10 and 4.27 open before. The medium case 3.73 lsd is my favorite.

That's cool. I just did the Valeo single mass conversion kit. Slightly more expensive but bolts right up. Check it out. I guess the plus of the m20 one is you can lighten it quiet a bit. Have fun!

I plan on having it lightened to about 13lbs

It's good for NA cars. For something forced induction, you run out of room pretty quick and find your self shifting a lot. I sit at 5th gear on the highway and I don't bother downshifting to pass someone.

I wanted a 3.73lsd for my car but had no luck at all finding one at a sane price, one person was asking $500 for one that was not even recently rebuilt. The gearing seemed perfect for a turbo M42. It got pissed off and gave up when someone sent me a 4.10 after selling me a 3.73, now I'm stuck with the 4.10 for a while. Winds out way too fast with turbo setup, 1st gear is pretty much useless when I get on it. Don't have to downshift to pass on the freeway though.

I currently have a 3.73 medium LSD in the car, but just temporarily as I rebuild my 3.91 small case. I don't notice all that much difference, honestly. Slightly lower revs. But it does weigh 20lbs more than the small case, FWIW.

4.10 must scream on the highway, because my 3.91 is up there. Or maybe I just drive fast :)

I have a 3.73 too. Perfect ratio for the M42 on the highway IMHO. The car honestly doesn't feel any slower...but a stock M42 with almost 300K miles isn't the quickest car around.

I'm also doing the M20 FW conversion, that should help when I throw in the 3.73lsd
