    Diff Cover Ruined?

I had to get pretty barbaric removing the stuck steel ring from the old bushing. I’ve sanded down all burrs but does this gouge make this thing a write off.

im installing a 80a garagistic bushing if that matters..

    Send it.

That little knick won't do anything, especially with a poly bushing that slides in by hand. Worst case scenario is the ring splits and the diff thumps around until you fix it. The diff is bolted to the subframe, so it isn't going anywhere.

it's not worth the nvh for a road car imo. as mentioned, that nick won't hurt it at all.

I’ve heard that nvh will increase but I’m hoping it’s not too bad. If it is, I’ll swap it for rubber when I pull the subframe out for refurbishing next spring. I’ll know by then if there are any issues with this lsd too.
