Thank you! I've always wanted to be able to do this on the standard g260 or g265. I don't give a s**t about 5th gear acceleration, that's what 4th is for. I want highway MPGs :)

I don't really care for mpg or highway cruising so I'll probably stick with the same diff I have now, 3.64 and go with a 5 speed since they are more common/cheaper/lighter etc :)

3.64 isn't going to be too short of a ratio for the M60?
          I am going for a 2.93 with the M62
A buddy of mine has an M30 swap with a 3.64 diff and that's just fine, but with the torque on the M60, I'd consider something a bit longer

I'll see how it works and go from there, like i said i don't care about mpg or cruising rpm. I may go with 3.25 again if 3.64 turns out too short for the events i attend.

Why don't you just ask Courtney at MM. He'll know exactly what needs to happen for this. He's the driveline guy. I'll ask next time i'm down if you don't call before then.

Engine is out of the parts car...

I'll start a new thread covering the engine re-seal etc.. I noticed the back of the heads have round warranty seals/stamps... is this normal or is this an indication of a replacement heads?

Where is it? Oh there it is!

It will mean the heads have either been pulled and serviced by a shop / replaced with reco heads / new heads from a shop.

Basically when over heated the glue melts and the stamps move / fall off, warrenty void.

You already have one of the nicest early models on our board, it will be even cooler to see another V8 E30 stateside..

So, how are those mounts? I have mine on the rotisserie now, getting ready to stitch weld all of the seams and start the cage... this is good reading, my friend...
