They are due on the 16th according to UPS. Got a set from a forum member on e30tech to start with. Hopefully they will sit the engine w/o having to lower the subframe or any of that ....

They look very much like www.300mm.de mounts.

Is it possible to get dimensions or a cad drawing of the mounts to make our own?

Im loving the idea of a v8 e30. Any ideas how much this will change the front to rear weight ratio thou? Im sure it will be heavier but wondering by how much?

I'll weight the engine/tranny when I get to it. But form what I read it won't make it worse and may only improve things since the engine is aluminum, and it's also short.

The engine-transmission package is bit lighter than M30, and much shorter so it handles pretty well.

I measured 55/45 weight distribution of my cabrio with half-full fuel tank and no driver so it's pretty ok.

Jean, have you decided which tranny to use? Unless you can find a 6-speed for a screaming deal, I think you'd be plenty happy with a 5-speed. With all that torque in an E30 you will probably want to run a numerically low diff so highway cruising shouldn't be bad with no overdrive. Plus you end up saving quite a bit of weight.

I am researching to see if there is a taller 5th gear to swap in--love the close ratio but want an overdrive. The 5 speed is the same trans as the M3 e36 5 speed so there should be some options.
