They do look nice! Did they come with sleeves to center the spacers into the frame rails?

            Hmm.....just four bolts with washers.

Are there not already sleeves in the frame rails of the car to center up the subframe?

Edit: NVM, those are in the subrfame only. -_- I wonder if they'll pull out of my spare subframe.....

Tach I haven't looked at it yet, lol. I've got to put together a cluster from a couple I have laying around.

With your converter, is the 4cyl coding plus still needed?

Yes a 4 cyl coding plug will still be needed.

We look forward to seeing more pictures/progress of your swap!

Cool. Hopefully I can get some time to put the engine in and get the brake situation sorted out and the core support removable.

If I get time. I've got to fix the Rover so I can get my DD back.

Yes the brake situation is one of the hardest parts of the swap. We have a boosterless brake bracket if your solution ends up being more work then you would like. Uses wilwood/tilton brake pedals and puts master cylinders under dash. Only reservoirs stay in engine bay. Something to keep in mind. Let us know if we can be of any help or if you have questions. Good to see more m60 swaps happening.

I'd definitely recommend using sleeves to center the spacer on the rails. I'm not sure if they are load bearing or just for ease of installation, but I know when Garey made my spacers, he also gave me a set of sleeves that he machined, and it made getting everything lined up much easier.

Also, I'd recommend the Dakota Digital SGI-8 for the tach signal. It's programmable, so you don't need to change your coding plug. You just tell it how many cylinders your tach thinks it's seeing (6) and how many it's actually seeing (8 ), and it does the rest. It takes 2 seconds to set up, just uses DIP switches.

                        $85 from Summit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-sgi-8/overview/

Not to take away from Garagistic's product, just an alternative. The more alternatives we have, the better!

Correct alignment of the crossmember (and thus control arms and steering rack) pure and simple.

Core support out. Took about one hour.

Next step I gotta get it on the lift, drop the subframe, and slam the engine in.

Awesome man. :D I'm half way done with my m62 obd1 5spd swap. interested to see the hydro-boost in action...I went remote mount (e32/4).

Also heard there is another hydro booster that sits half in the car/half out so the MC can sit behind the strut tower and clears.

Rolled the car into the barn and onto the lift Saturday.

                                Cya'll next month!
