    But if i'm going obd1 and or MS whats it matter?

      oh ok go for it .imma get my DME re programmed into manual for cheap locally and if it somehow becomes alive im sticking with VANOS

        The transmissions are interchangeable, you just make the hole for the crank sensor (there's place for that on the side of the trans..)

                Quick Question...

                What OBD2 DME# should i run with the manual?

                DME7 501 290 Is this a OBD2 dme for a manual setup?
                Or is someone blowing smoke.....?

                              The input shaft of the 5 speed zf trans is not the same as the 6 speed, the 6 speed clutch disc won't fit onto the 5 speed input shaft. The 5 spd ZF is the same as the one used in the 328/m3, just with the v8 bellhousing. That's why we use 328 clutch kits.
