yeap exactly... too many people bring MS down and haven't tuned a day in their life to be in a position to compare.. or even use all the processing power. Hell you got guys running really old tiny processors MS1 on LSX motors just fine...

I'm running MS2 ver3.57 and got more then plenty of processor power even moving to MS3 for the extra money and slight benefit to run sequential isn't even needed...

anyways that's my REAL EXPERIENCE on the subject ... sorry didnt want to highjack the thread... feel I needed to clear the misinformation.

Without codes, can't really help, but first thing I'd verify is that you have the o2's hooked up correctly. IIRC, the longer harness goes to the drivers side.
I'm running a 93 530 harness and the o2 leads are equal length but i was able to find tags on the leads that indicated L or R so I hope I have it right. If not its not that hard to switch. But this is why I asked. Worst comes to worst I'll just run unplugged?

What do you mean by this? : It won't go into closed loop unless it gets a valid/within spec signal from a few major sensors (coolant temp, O2's, etc...) but that won't hurt anything short term
      What will happen long term???

I haven't touched that car sense this weekend. I'm in the middle of another build that has taken a bit of my time.

Normally your DME will be in closed loop mode, meaning it uses feedback from the o2 sensors, which tell the DME what the AFR is. If it's too lean, it adds more fuel. Too rich, less fuel. If it doesn't get a proper signal from the o2 sensors, it goes into open loop mode, meaning it uses the other sensors (MAF, coolant temp, etc...) and the factory preset tables to provide safe fueling. It has no feedback from the o2 sensors, so it doesn't deviate from the preset tables. Normally, with working o2 sensors, your fuel trims will change as your DME learns what conditions require changes in fueling to hit the ideal AFR. Since you have no AFR feedback, it doesn't adjust the fueling. So your AFR likely won't be on target, but the factory DME does a fine job of running the engine safely anyway. A potential long term effect would be damage to catalytic converters, if you have them.

Again, this is all assuming the CEL is for the o2 sensors. It could be for something unrelated, like the purge valve for the charcoal canister, which has no real impact on anything. So I wouldn't do anything until you get that code pulled. But, I wouldn't be worried to drive it in the meantime if it's running fine. Just my opinion.

Cool thanks.. Just what I needed to hear. If it pops up again this weekend I'll pull the code and post up. I'm pretty sure I know what it is but to satisfy you all and my self I will let you know..

Did the bolts break, or did they come loose? There's no reasonable amount of torque that should break those bolts.

I did a similar thing with my old e30 track car. Guibo exploded... Broke the driveshaft, transmission case, shift linkages, etc... Costly mistake.

Bolts broke... I have a feeling it has something to do with the poly inserts.
if you all remember I blew a center shaft bearing a while back. turned out i had the washers on the wrong side. SO i fixed it and noticed that Revshift changed there poly compound with out telling anybody...umm
didn't think to much of it... my bad

I was using a eta drive shaft with a 24v swap guibo
This was the most skechey part of my hold build and only thing that I bolted on with out building myself on this whole build. I took it for granted that someone else did there job.. I found my weak link an blew it up....

                              live and learn..

I think I'll take a page from the LS/5.0 guys an build a single drive shaft with dual u joints?

I sprung for the garagistic shaft. We will see how it goes once I get to that point, and once I actually get the shaft....
