New M3 Solid bushings rotated 90* to compensate for the 10mm drop spacers on the Crossmember. I noticed that after the spacer install the rubber bushing were under a sizable twisting load, compound that with the normal road movement of the suspension. This worried me So I got a set of M3 solids and rotated them 90* down.. Worked like a charm...;)

I'm not sure that's such a good idea. You'll probably need steering at some point... ;)

I like the idea of rotating the CABs to compensate for the spacers. Nice!

So pukled the bottom pan to check the oilpump bolts before I button everything up with the trans.
To my surprise when I got in there everything was tight and torqued to spec.

                  Just a small update!

Just finished the M42 2002 swap and it has gone home .

So I'm back on the V8

So I just ordered a DME 284 to cloth my MS3.

then I bought one of these

                  E30 V8 rpm module

Your factory RPM gauge will not be accurewhen you do the conversion. The DME signal must be modified and a 4 cyl BMW coding chip must be used. We offer a "RPM signal modifer" or as we call it, a RPM module. Simply wire it inline and your RPM gauge will be accurate. Needed for any v8 swap in an e30.
Click here to buy RPM module separately or include in your own e30 m6x swap kit.
                  Features:

                  - Fully tested and professionally built
                  - 10 min install
                  - Allows use of factory e30 tach in v8 conversion
                  - 4 wire install
                  Each ROM module kit includes:

                  RPM module
                  Instructions

What radiator is that, not e28 535i is it?

Pull the cover, replaced the guides?

Yes it's the same radiator used in the RTSAuto.com build.

I inspected the rails and found little to no wear!?! O_o
and the cover gaskets and timing chain look to have been replaced.
I don't know the milage of the motor, but it looks to have been taken care of.

Now that I got the DME today I'm working on the harness and have a few questions mostly identification of plugs.
Mostly need to identify the EWS plug and trans plugs.

First off is the plugs near the Dme. I have no clue what these are, plus do I have the plugs in the DME right, thought the blue plugs are trans plugs please help...:eeek:

                        Now for the pig tails.
I'm sure these are the trans, crank/flywheel trigger plug,

Full big tail off the back of harness

I think this is the left side O2 sensor and the crank/flywheel trigger plug

IIRC for O2 sensors, as the M62 has 4 of them i think, pre/post.

Ok so changed my plan of attack,

First off I finished painted and did the final bolt in for the pedal box
all brackets and mod are bullet proof, this is really starting to look fun... :p

ok for the change. I got my dme 284 last week and have had a hell of a time finding a pinout for it.. ugh

So i ordered an full harness and Dme 404 from a 95 M60b30
info all over the net on this setup pinouts mods what ever.
                              MS3 here we come!

As for the conversion to the motor to run it, not a n issue...
planing of posting more pictures when things start moving along...
