Passenger side will be easy, and the bend won't be that "serious". An it's not really far away it's just the pictures. What mount ads do do have in your Cabby?

It will be just fine, went around and under. Now just have to weld Bungs on it and v-bands

Why wouldn't it disengage? Too small or too big?

Looks good so far. Make sure you've got a 3/4" master cylinder for the clutch. I ordered 5/8" for everything like an idiot and found out later my clutch wouldn't disengage lol.
