I'm not sure I've ever seen the sikky hydroboost on an M60 swapped car. I had the hydroboost and manual on my LS2. I think something is just fubar with my braking system and I don't know what. It's always felt off.

I will say the hydroboost unit does add some disconnection to your brakes. I don't know how to explain it, but your foot on the pedal isn't direct to the brakes. It takes a second for the pressure to build or something. Flooring the pedal didn't feel the same. I honestly prefer the manual brake feel. But, you do what you got to do.

i know sikky charges 1300 bucks for the setup and that is a pricey pill to swallow. however, you can buy the firewall to gm booster bracket from them for 2-300 bucks. the booster to master cylinder bracket can be purchased from eBay or sikky for about 100 bucks. the booster can be had for about 130 dollars. you can make the hoses for less than 100. i am saying that for the same price you can have a boosted brake system instead of screwing around with that willwood bullshit. in the end it is your car, so you can do with it as you wish. that line about "adding to the driving experience" is one of the silliest things i have read on r3v. (no offense and with all due respect of course). i honestly hope you enjoy it and that it works well for you. personally, i'm not messing around with that crap. i don't want a race car. i am building a street car with refinements such as power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning.

Thanks for the info and for posting how and where to locate the parts. If it sucks (and it might) I will try to build a boosted setup but I don't want to fix something that may work just fine until I drive it and feel for myself. I also run power steering and AC because I'm spoiled and want to be comfortable.

I drove a manual braked e30 before and liked the feel. It was heavy and requires you to be more alert but it wasn't a bad experience. It's been a long time but I recall enjoying it and having no bad experiences. We'll see what happens.

I'm not sure what the deal is with boosterless brakes. I run the Garagistic twin MC wilwood setup on mine. Granted the car is, P/S-less, A/C-less and a base model E30 so its on the lighter side of the scale but again I'm on stock non-vented 316i front brakes and rear drums with old as fuck pads/rotors and it stops just fine. I'm also 5ft6 130lb and haven't seen a gym since high school. I'm going with a BBK but that's only because I intend to track the car and don't want any fade.

The dual master setup halves your effort (more or less). So it's likely not an issue for you. Got a link to that wilwood setup? I wouldn't mind swapping to it if it was cheap enough.

Lee also just developed a dual master setup, have you seen that? Whodwho just installed Lee's new kit, you can see it here: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120545

Yoshi why don't you go to the junkyard buy an astro booster modify the plate on it thread the push rod and run a trailblazer 1" master then run custom lines which I believe are 2 2' long high pressure hoses and then a low pressure I'm probably in mine around $200. Grant it its not been tested yet but should be on the road in July

Uh, you do it and document it for me lol. I'm tired of mucking with stuff. And I'm selling my house at a loss so uh, I don't even have the money to fix my fans right now. Or buy front tires.

hmmm.....i think you definitely have something wrong here. probably there is still some air in your lines. it could also be a problem with the abs pump if you still have it installed. i have the same hydrobooster on my f350 diesel pickup. my brakes work fantastic on that vehicle and it weighs about 6500 lb.

it sounds like you have a lot going on in your life right now but i would first try pressure bleeding all your brake lines

I've driven several hydroboosted cars/vans, my setup felt just like all of them. I think I'm just describing the difference wrong. I should probably do an ABS delete one of these days. I bet that would help my pedal feel. Brakes are 100% bled fine. And have been bled like 18 times.
