    Identify these connectors!

Trying to un-fuq the E30 and I am trying to identify a bunch of various connectors.

Group 1 is behind the dash in the glovebox area.

This group sort-of looked like it would go behind the HVAC panel, but the blue connector should be for the Cruise Control Module, the others... no idea.

Pretty sure I have a few of these identified. 2 wires for glovebox light, rectangle connector for the flashlight, but the rest?...

Finally theres this. No clue at all. These wires/ connector are literally coming off the ECU!

Now we switch to under the hood. This group is on the passenger side. I believe the boot-ed 2 pin connector is for the coolant that would've gone on the side of the radiator IF mine had the original early model setup, but mine has the late model radiator and reservoir. The long-ish chewed up connector SHOULD be for the exterior temp sensor, yes?

Those 2 wires Im holding... no idea?... Notice anything else?

Now, switch to the driverside. Similar connector to the pass side, but theres a bridged connector too...

    Good luck.

Interested in the general process for figuring this out. I assume cross reference with wiring diagrams and try remove anything that shouldn't be there.

I took a quick peak at the wiring under my dash and it's a horrendous mess of aftermarket alarms etc hacked in. Not even sure where to start so I'm just pretending I didn't see it for now.

Half considering the nuclear option of trying to rewire everything from scratch so at least I'd know what everything is, but that'd mean it'd be off the road forever.

Engine bay is also a mess but main issue is many of the plugs themselves have disintegrated imin addition to the random unknown wires that don't connect to anything.

Just consider what's in that area. The small wedge bulb in that area goes behind the HVAC panel. Find out which section isn't illuminated and you'll find where it goes. The red and brown look like cigarette lighter leads. You need to figure out what's not working. It will help you figure out what's what.

This was only in the 325i cars. I think it was tach signal or OBC related - C104 connector. Does the tach work ? does the CODE function on the OBC work? I did find this thread...

Air temp sensor that mounts to a hole in your airdam. Circular plug appears to be for windshield washer level sensor. The 2 blade connector is for the AC drier.

These two are for early model radiator temp switches on driver's side.
