having a performance chip shouldn't affect spark plugs, correct?

not significantly, you shouldn't have to go to a colder heat range unless the engine was modified with higher compression, cam, turbo, etc.Comment

alright, good to know

I just picked up some NGK BPR6ES (recommended by Nando) from monument car parts over in san ramon during lunch today to replace the bosch platinum ones i put on a couple weeks ago. My car idles like crap so I'm hoping that the NGK ones will allow my car to idle and run smoother. I'll report back later this evening once I put them on.Comment

Let me know how they work once they're in.
I live in San Ramon and know exactly where that Monument is lol

those are 1 heatrange colder than stock actually, you'd want BPR5ES for a stock motor. But they might be fine too.I just picked up some NGK BPR6ES (recommended by Nando) from monument car parts over in san ramon during lunch today to replace the bosch platinum ones i put on a couple weeks ago. Ok so yesterday I drove to work with the new plugs and I could notice the idle different. Lot smoother and stable compared to the bosch platinum I had on past few weeks. I ended up making another trip to the car store during lunch and bought the NGK BPR5ES since my motor is stock. So I swapped those in after work. I didn't feel any difference between the BPR6ES and the BPR5ES, but I guess for me it was more mental knowing that I have the correct plugs. My car still has no torque, but at least it feels smoother.Comment

they work nicely, either is probably fine. I'm using BPR6ES's in my motor. BPR5ES is just the same heatrange as stock is all.Comment

I got new NGK ZGR5A spark plugs and put them on the car, but the ignition wires won't plug into them.
Wrong plugs or what?
