Looks like you're about 10whp down from what a healthy stock M20 should put out. You might be lucky if all the $50 mods added up to what a quality low-mile engine could produce all on its own.

Yes. Here's my 2 cents, Budget Beater: Depending on how many half ass $50 ebay mods you've already bought, I'd reccommend selling about 10 of them to some other sucka on ebay, and use the cash to buy yourself a low mileage M20. It'll probably make more power than your ebay mods on a tired engine.

And instead of a shit Tockico suspension, your money would be better spent replacing all the suspension bushings and getting an alignment done, if you haven't already.

naw the motor pulls good numbers, already did baseline dyno but it seems nobody knows how to read. the dyno numbers are on part with any other M20 out there pretty much. I will let the new dyno results speak for themselves. I am confident I will see the gains I am looking for (especially for the $), but if everyone wants to continue spending stupid prices for mods for a car thats not even worth it... then i guess i can't stop them.

A healthy motor with just a JC or MarkD chip will most likely put out more power than yours with all your $50 mods added up. Stop lying to yourself.

Define stupid prices for mods and/or give an example. You're the one spending money on superfluous bolt ons. You're dropping $50 here and there instead of putting a larger amount of money towards mods that work well in conjunction with each other and actually show significant gains.

No offense. You can go right ahead and try it, but as for me, I'm going to wait for Mark D.'s new chip that is designed to be used with 17 or 19# injectors and an MAF. I'd be willing to bet that it would give better results than all of the $50 mods you could do.

I made roughly 160 crank HP on a stock engine on a half dead fuel pump, clogged fuel filter and etc. I already replaced all those items. can't wait to see the car dyno more than most of these guys who put thousands into their cars. its kinda sad actually. I think people are getting angry b/c they feel threatened that i may prove all that money they spent was a waste.

Who on this board has put "thousands" into their motor? You keep pulling that quote out of your ass, with absolutely no basis in reality. Anyone who has put "thousands" into engine work either has a pretty nicely built stroker m20 or a 24v m5x swap. Look at the last issue of GRM - they dyno tested a bunch of "proven" bolt on mods on their Project SE-R - the vast majority did little and a few actually reduced the HP numbers.

The only things my 184k M20 are likely to see are 19lb injectors and a chip.

Your plan here reminds me of rent-to-own. $50 down, $50 a week for 50 months and what do you have at the end? Crap.

but you don't seem to know that since your fucking baseline run isn't a baseline if you replaced your fuel pump and filter AND added a fucking ebay rice cone at the same time.

i would expect your power to DECREASE with that cone, and by replacing part of your worn-out shit heap you call a project, it might not be accurate to show that
