OK to clarify, I stated word for word that "I sold my E36 M3 to GET (future tense) E55 AMG (in may)" I currently have another mercedes I drive, its a W140 body style S320 with mods as well. Lotus was a peice of trash, i drove one, not impressed at all, and those things are about to depreciate like a rock ones the new Lotus Esprit successor comes out. i NEVER said I already had one, Rob misunderstood what I said. People need to learn to read better on this forum. i swear.

All fuel components have been replace before that dyno was taken. I am gonna try some seafoam tomorrow see if that helps even more cuz idle is alittle rough (even after cleaning ICV).

About your imaginary exotics:

This is after all just a fun project. I already have a E36 M3 and selling it to get an exotic so this is just something fun to goof off in. I do not want to put any serious amount of $ into the car b/c honesty i just don't think its worth it. i'm doing it more for hte fun modding aspect of it more than anything else. If i want to buy a super fast car, i learned my lesson the hard way.... just buy a fast car to begin with.

I'm over the BMW thing for a while, i need something different, something with some real torque. I want a good luxury muscle car cruiser so thats what i chose, E36 was one headache after another... actually most bmw's in general are one headache after another, never had any major problems with any of my benzes

i just want something alot more practical so changing cars.

Also, about your baseline dyno claims:

(before dyno): hey guys, the car is up and running. the good news its starting to run better, the bad news is fuel pump is whinning making me think the secondary pump is dead.

(after dyno): On a side note, after driving the car hard for a few days now i have noticed improved performance from the M50 injectors and the fuel pump no longer whines so i think all the restrictions in the fuel system have been taken care of.

I sold the M3 over christmas break b/c theres no point in having 3 cars. I gave the money away to charity if you must know. The reason i came to this forum was to help out people who are not as fortunate so they don't have to spend $$$$$$$$ just to mod their car (and I WILL prove my point).

For those who might still call BS, these are his cars, i've been talkin to Omey for over 2 years now, and he's always first to tell me of what hes done to his cars.

Some might think this E30 deal is BS, and stupid. I think the point that he is trying to proove: Most say that e30's(m20s) in general cant make power, or you have to do a full 2.7 or 2.8 rebuild, and stroker, and turbo, or motorswap. Hes trying to cheaply mod his car to a well rounded car, for much less than what most pay for their bone stock e30. I'm NOT taking a side here, i just wish some of the stupid comments on "wow he could do an m50 swap for the amount hes dumping in his car" or "wow, that makes no sense" would cease.

Its his freakin car, its his money. Maybe he doesnt want to do a motor swap? or maybe he doesnt need the whoopdedo crazy suspension. Hes just finding the cheapest mods he can, and seeing what works and what doesnt.

As far as the benifits to the forum, there are always questions on :I saw this on ebay, does it work? and now, when somebody says "I saw this on ebay, its cheap, does it work? there will be an answer. Take it as you will, but i would give this guy some credit for what hes doing. Look at it like a guinnea pig.

Hes done REAL modifications to his car, LSD, SSK, Suspension, the obligatory Intake, exhaust, chip. So what if he put a seat in it or a steering wheel. Its a lot better than chicken wire or Skidkid whatever.

I think what annoys people the most is that he still insists that this is some grand experiment in spending the least ammount of money for the most gains.

My main goal for this project is not necessarily to make max HP, but max HP PER DOLLAR (hence the name "budget beater"). The main rule is NO part must exceed $50

As has been brought up before, this is BS. The only parts he's bought that have been $50 or less don't add any HP (steering wheel etc). The parts that do add HP theoretically he's spent way over $50 for each part (his words not mine). So what makes this any different than 75% of the people on this forum who buy stuff only to find that it wasn't a good idea? It's not like these are things that people haven't tried before.

If he'd just called it an experiment in buying cheaply made stuff then people might have laid off. As it stands this has turned into more of a joke than anything.

The difference is the E36 didn't have the "sledge-hammer to the front end" mod that the E30 does.

So you've got a habit of buying worn out beat to hell formerly "nice" cars and ricing them out with tons of horrid ebay shit.

At least the e30 seems to be in the same line. This kid is a clown. It looks like he got clowned out of the various e36 communities, and has spread to the e30 boards, where he is clowned the same. Maybe he can go for the trifecta and get smacked around on Benz boards.

You obviously don't know anything about E36s. I was the first person to have the entire Active autowerkes system. The first person to to get the AA headers. I have AA stage 5 software. The largest big bore throttle body ever made for a E36 (70mm custom West coast riots unit, same size as intake manifold opening). Along with hundreds of mods... not a single one availible on ebay... sorry pal

I chose ebay parts for E30 b/c honestly its an old car, no point in putting any money into a E30, just makes no sense. E36 was one of the best if not the best BMW's ever made, it was best handling car of any price tag 4 years in arow, it was the pinnacle of BMW, E30 is just an older sport coupe thats all (no offense to others).
