Now if they want it because its an e30 they may tow it but once again NO ONE will be driving off in an e30 without the keys.
If however you still feel like somehow you live in an alternate universe and there is a legitimate risk to getting your car stolen then do as suggested by pulling the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay or you could even unplug the CPS.
Honestly all that is a waste of time though.

canada has really high property crime - cars are stolen like crazy up there. My wife is always worried about cars being stolen, or having the house robbed, etc. (she's canadian). probably because both have happened to her and lots of people she knows..
I wouldn't be surprised if they'd steal almost anything with wheels. most likely, it's for drugs, so they won't care about what car it is, or what condition it's in.

A Lion is the only plausible option I see here. No one fucks with a lion.No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Once I start working on the car, im probably going to add some sort of tracking device(lojack or homemade). Rather than end up with a torn out ignition system, I want to find the guy and "let him know how I feel." Ive already had one car stolen from my driveway. Natives dont care if its an e30, a cavalier, or a buick. If they can hotwire it consider it gone.

Same problem we had in Moscow. if they couldn't steal your car they'd take the headlight and wiper blades, so we'd remove those as well as the distributor cap to discourage theft. Where thieves here carry slimjims there they carry a range of distributor caps..lol. There were probably only 4 different one to cover every car on the road.
Sometimes we even hid our electric meter since those were in demand too and it really blows to come home in the dead of winter and have no power:evil:Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

honestly though - people like that don't tend to have money or make good decisions. how likely is it they'll have a flatbed truck if they're so strung out on drugs/broke that they have to steal E30s to survive? if they did own a tow truck, wouldn't they use it to uhm, make money towing cars? and if they were a really pro outfit - would they really target $1500 cars from 25 years ago?

I've had a 79 Corolla and an 87 Sentra stolen and an 84 Mustang and an 01 Saturn broken into. Not the greatest of cars so I share your concern. I guess I would have good comprehensive and don't get too emotionally attached...as well a good visual deterrent and kill switch.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. -Mark Twain
