EDIT: AND the car is a 520i, not even an e30 - both missed that...

The TPS is the 3 plug one

Car is auto from 85, the engine is exactly the same as the one in the 320i and I assume the 325i.

Going to measure it again today and hopefully get some clarity on the issue. Would love to get it fixed this week since it's the last few weeks with good weather before mud seasons starts here...I live in the countryside

This is what I joined the forum for, anyone know the specific page in the Bentley manual about TPS? I only have the online version..

I do have the Haynes manual and an old dutch shop manual but neither are specific enough.
