    Exhaust builds

Just wondering what everyone's running for exhaust. I'm running straight pipe to 2 inch glass pack but makes my car sound super riced and was wondering what I can do to get deeper tone to it or what guys are running :)

Stock with a Stebro cat back.

There is a (mostly ignored) exhaust sub forum, you know.

Haven't seen a stebro exhaust in 10 years, damn. Like mine.

If you own a 325i, any center section muffler + any rear muffler will make it sound deep.
Tone is a different story if you want to be picky.

Bav auto long tube headers merged into a single 2.5" back to a vibrant resonator and then a vibrant muffler. Really wish I had a good quality way of recording it for a sound clip.

You have one too? They're a quality piece, took me forever to ascertain the builder. Picked it up for $160, no cracks or corrosion or whatever. I haven't seen another one. I like the sound too.

                +1 for Vibrant stuff.

I'm running IE long tube race headers merged into a single 2.5in system going straight thru two Vibrant 1141 resonators and one 1148 Vibrant muffler. Sounds amazing. Surprisingly no drone with this setup. Tame at partial throttle and a screamer at WOT.

i have a clip in my thread but it was taken with an ipotato so quality is lacking and the mic makes it sounds way more raspy than it is.

also made a vid going to the E30 Picnic 2015 with some tunnel action if you're interested...Sound is recorded by my dash cam but it gives you an idea of what its's like.

Sounds great, but I think your engine is burning oil. You might want to look into that.

I just have a 2 inch straight pipe to the glass pack from where the cat used to be and its just two rice for me I have an eta so i have the single pipe. If I throw resonators on there it will be deeper but will that restrict the flow at all?

I just got lucky with my newish Eta's exhaust. It has a OE cat still, then on to some unbranded short resonator about 10" long and oval. Then on to a 26" Thrush cherry bomb at the very end. It's great. Almost no drone, sounds a bit throaty. And best of all, so cheap.

Three inch turbo back to flowmaster muffler.

RD headers through stock cat and IE can sounds pretty sweet too.

Stock E30 325i European Exhaust - fit, finish and sound are terrific! This is the stock E30 exhaust when European cars did not have cats. In my opinion, this is the best exhaust on the market for these cars..

I have a stock exhaust up to after the cat and then where the cat back bolts on I cut off the old pipes and ran a 1.75" straight pipe. Up to 3k sounds stock maybe a little louder. After 3k sounds loud with a nice growl and a few crackles right before redline. Sounds so good! I need to put the stock one back on for the mvi though :( also there's a little drone between like 2.5 and 3 if I can remember correctly
