Are you joking? It's a switch. You connect it inline with the power of the antenna.
no i wasnt joking mr. know it all.

how am i supposed to know which wire (behind that button) is the antenna wire. or if its not back there, how am i supposed to string it up there.
is there a wire already attached to that button? how do i connect the 2 wires.
honestly (as u probobly could tell by now) i dont know really what im doing with stuff like this. i dont wana cut or fry something i need, so instead of giving me a vague, half ass, smart alek remarke. why dont u just keep your mouth shut.

Behind which button? The antenna power is hardwired to your deck.

Get a switch, connect a piece of wire to the positive end, connect a piece of wire to the negative end, find the power wire for the antenna, use wire-tap connectors to tap the two wires from the switch to the power wire for the antenna, then cut the power wire of the antenna between the two wire-taps. I'd advise you to shrink wrap the taps too.

But if you're not too familiar with electronic circuits, you probably should be messing around in there.

Haha, I nailed you, and you nailed me! I was only tring to get my name on every forum as the latest post.

As for the post, I dont lube my antenna. I tried a little WD-40 when I bought the car to see iof the antenna would go up all the way, but it did not help. Sorry for post-owhoring!

uhm, have you ever wired up a stereo? seriously, it's not that hard to figure out which wire is what. It's not like there are 10 loose wires back there.. bring a wire from your stereo's antenna-on signal to one terminal of the switch, and the antenna wire to the other terminal. Just use female crimp terminals (I think 16 gauge terminals plug right onto a foglight switch). it's not rocket science!

on my car, the antenna power wire was white (as far as I can remember).

If you're referring to the black button, it's a circuit breaker for your power windows.
