Just finished my timing belt and water pump job. All new hoses, tstat, cam seal, other things too. Just put everything back together today and ran the garden hose through the coolant reservoir to flush it out a bit before putting the new stuff in. Filled it up, closed the cap, connected the battery, and tried to start it.
Cranks but doesn't start. FML. The troubleshooting will begin in a few days, I've got two midterms this week :(
Oh and my reverse lights don't work. I got the switch for them that goes on the tranny, just need to put it on and see if that fixes it.Last edited by dnova89; 05-02-2010, 02:24 PM.Comment

I told you check your throttle switch. From your other thread it sounded exactly like the issue I had when the throttle switch wasn't triggering on closed throttle.
I have a spare throttle switch you can try, however it came off a car at the wreckers so I have no idea if it is any good.Comment

I can't figure out why me steering still feels sloppy and loose. Everything is new, bushings, steering knuckle, treehouse cabs, new control arms, ie sways.
But it still kind of feels like it's loose.. I can't figure out why.
I get in gf's is an the steering is so tight. Makes me mad.sigpic-Thanks warrenComment

no joke her e30 feels away better then mine and everything is original..
That is the last thing that I need to replace but I don't see how that will help make it feel more responsive.
I know doing a z3 rack will help but steering just feels so loose :sad:sigpic-Thanks warrenComment

Next time you get an alignment, get a bit more caster in it. That might help the feel a bit.
If your tie rods are fucked the bushings on them will be loose as hell and give you this exact feeling.
You should get an alignment after you replace those anyway.Originally posted by george gravesIf people keep quoting me in their sig, I'm going to burn this motherfucker down.Comment
