    Does any body know where there is a cheap place to get a fly wheel turned?

                    500 for a new flywheel? Just wait until yours goes, and get a new flywheel/clutch. Because once you're in there, you don't want to have to go back to replace the clutch later.

                      What kind of car do you drive? If it is an M42, you can swap the M20 single mass flywheel (shaved) and a few other parts and you can lose a lot of weight.

                          how does this affect the idle? metic mechanic has a lightend dual mass flywheel I was considering... has anyone tried it?

                              PM Fabianyee, I'm pretty sure he can tell you what all is involved in swapping in the European M40 flywheel. Same 215mm size as your M42, but it's a single-mass. Or, you could swap in the M20 flywheel and have it lightened.

                              Jordan, I didn't know the material was the determining factor.
