    DS2's... now what?

So I finally found the DS2's I've always wanted. They were garage queens that are effectively new. They're staggered and are wearing 225/45-17 in the front and 245/40-17 in the rear.

I think the 245's are too wide. Should I trade the rears for a set of front rims and build a square set, or just get smaller tires for the rear. What size?

Or run 215/40 front and 245/35 rear.

So, 235/40's will work in the rear as will 245/35's. How tight are 245/40's? Who has 'em? How much fender rolling? Can I just run and extra spring pad under my H&R sport springs and call it good?

How about the 225/45's in the front?

If I were to run staggered I'd go with 215/40/17 front and 235/40/17 rear or possibly 245/35 rear.

That's exactly what I have for my fronts now. In fact, the guy came to buy the old 224/45's about 10 minutes ago. The diameter is maybe 1/4" taller than my 195/60-14 tires.

Rear will be 245/40... for now. My plan will be to swap the rear first with the 215/40's so I can see how the 245's fit and either roll the fenders and/or purchase different tires.

Once I have the rear sorted I'll swap the front.

                              I found a set of *slightly* used 215/40 17s.

I'll swap the rear suspension in the next few weeks and mount the 215s in the rear until I get the fender clearance for the 245s. Then I'll switch the rear to the 245s and swap the front.

Once I have everything sorted I'll look for 245/35 for the rear.
