Ireland subframe bushings. Is this all I need?

About to replace the worn out subframe bushings on the E30. I have this pair of Ireland engineering subframe bushings that I'm going to be replacing them with. Are there any other components, bushings, washers, etcetera that I need to do this job or is it literally just replace what's in there with these two piece bushings? Just don't want to get into the job and not be able to finish today. Thanks!

I hear ya. May go oem with this car. Either that or AKG performance bushings. It is a street car with an s52, but can't imagine oem wouldn't do the job effectively. Oh well, won't be finishing this project today. [emoji20]

That's the problem with poly. 5 years old and it disintegrates. It might be a stiffer material, but if you don't replace all your poly bushings every few years you're asking for catastrophic failure.

I saw engine mounts do this as well.

Poly seriously only lasts five years? First I've heard that. I put those same bushings in about five years ago, but I screwed up the installation somehow and the subframe can move up and down about 1/4". I still need to fix it. If poly seriously only lasts five years, I'll replace with OE and be done with it.

I have never heard that either. not saying its not true, just never heard it.

we put poly garagistic on my son's car a few months ago. that is all we bought and put in. everything else was fine and went back in like it came out.

I am going to put garagistic ones into my other son's, also. way easier to put them in that get those old rubber ones out, that's for sure

Search the internet for polyurethane bushings disintegrating. It's quite common.

So I ended up ordering oem bushings... This is a street car primarily so I figured they would be fine. Hopefully I won't regret the choice. ☺
