Do not buy G60 shocks.

A buddy of mine just sent me this - to clarify things for others thinking about the GC + E30 Bilstein Sport setup - here's them on the lowest setting on his car:
That's shit. I can't justify rocking nice wheels with 2" of wheel gap and NO suspension travel. Looks like I'm going to be taking a $140 hit from the welding I got done.
I need SPECIFICS on the G60 setup. Can anybody help me out and put down some actual #'s?Comment

I'm guessing it has to do with you running the camber plates vs. stock mounts. The stock mounts are a good 3+" thick. How thick were your plates?
The GC's only coil down 2.2" - check out the stock ride height pic (red) posted above and picture that down 2.2". It'd be right about where that bronzit car is.Comment

Someone who is actually running the setup in question should post a definitive step by step process as to neutralize any and all rumors based on hearsay and mis-information. It seems to me that there is some confusion as to the exact process needed to make these work and achieve the desired results.Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.Comment

Finally got my spacers in today, so after I throw those on I'll take some pics of the completed suspension.
Just on stock weaves and winters for now until my tires come in.Comment

I figured out how to make the G60 billys and GC kit work.
I'll post up details and pictures later tonight if I have time just to let others know what's needed to do this.
I learned the hard way since no one really talks about how they run the set up. The car's been out of commission for about a month now from a few failed attempts, road blocks, and lost part orders.
In total I probably spent a little over $1k for the Coilover setup with all the extra little things, HD Control Arms w/ int. ball joints, M3 CABs, new mounts, rear mount reinforcements, and fabrication. I'll add everything up later.Comment

ordered new stock collar nuts then drilled out the centers to accept the thicker G60 shaft.
Had a guy at home depot cut me some 1 1/4 (i think) diameter pipe for spacersComment
