I'm not sure why I havn't achieved a similar drop to you guys.
I have found thinner spring pads on PelicanParts. 5mm for the rear upper and lower. Although I'm unsure of the original upper and lower pad thickness.
The rear uppers do not have the factory bumpstop. I'd rather not compress these springs into the plastic region! (and/or knock hard parts together)
But I suppose when people completely remove the spring pads, they loose the bumpstops.
I also found 3mm front upper spring pads (which, for reference, were original on the 318i) which would give me 6mm of additional drop (Original upper pads are 9mm) on top of the 15mm from the e90 hats.

I'm not sure what spring rates the Super Sports use, and wasn't able to find a number before I ordered my Sports.

Straight from H&Rs FAQ
6) If the H&R springs are red does it mean that it’s they are Race Springs?
No. Color does not indicate which springs you have. The part numbers printed on the springs and/or spring box indicate whether you have a Race Spring kit or otherwise.

I think the color is irrelevant, while also causing a lot of confusion. Mine are red...

the OP looks like he is sitting on theses http://www.ecstuning.com/News/BMW_E3...993/ES2643029/
those look nothing like any standard H&R sport spring i have ever seen or installed. and yes i have installed many sets of these springs for local e30 owners.
if you dont believe me, look at this link to see the e30 springs and their types in reference to their type.

Turner motorsport has confirmed that these are the H&R Sport springs. The OE Sport springs have a part number of "50404-55"

I installed these same springs, same color and can confirm, i was wrong. HR Sport springs are now purple as OP bought. However, the car i put them on does sit a bit lower. it's a 91 sedan so i'm not speaking of the rear, just front and it sit 1/3-1/2" lower.
The late model cars do weigh more but i still cant see it sitting this much different from yours.Comment
