    More camber on one side

I replaced both my front strut inserts and installed both of the struts back on the car. When I took my car to get aligned one side is in spec of -1 something and the other side was -2 something. Not sure if why this is. Im using lower springs and e30 m3 control arm bushing but I dont think that caused such a change in camber on one side. Any help. thanks

Did you use new strut mounts? They compress over time. There's also a stock mount available with more offset. Did you forget to install a washer? Spring hats go bad too.
Maybe look into installing adjustable mounts.

It can deform over time. Or rust and/or break/crack.

Yes I got new strut mounts, and pads, installed everything per the pretty crappy instructions. Did not know they had different stock mounts with more offset. I might have to go with adjustable spring camber plates.

Yes, seen a few. The shock goes and then it's a hammer effect everytime it bottoms out.

What are the exact numbers? You say "-1 something and -2 something". If it's -1.9 and -2.1, that's perfectly normal. If it's -1.0 and -2.9, that's a bit more extreme.

Also, was it in alignment prior? If not, you could just now be finding out that you have a bent strut, bent control arm, etc... These are also 30 year old cars, it's not out of the question to have some deformation of the front of the chassis in the shock towers. It doesn't take much to have a 1 degree discrepancy.
