maybe he has an M motor?? Who cares :D

Oh and one more question for you fannatics... what kind of spring shock set up could give me that same ride height? I was thinking IE stage 3 springs with Koni adjustables. :?: Would that give me that ride height?

Minus the stretched rubber, this car is business. Dunno if its a 320iS or a swap though.

I think the stretch is very moderate and wouldnt hinder the performance of the car... sure he could put MORE rubber on the wheels but, the look was perfectly executed and the wheels look properly proportioned to the ride height.

I imagine the 215-45-15 is in the rear... is he using the same size for the front? Because my RS's will be 15x8 and 15x9 and I was thinking about using 215-45-15 all around.

looks like the rear tires are the same as the front to me, they are a lot more stretched.

Pros: Absolutely none, aside from giving me something to laugh at.

Cons: Looks ridiculous, unsafe, 99.9% of tire places won't do it.

Nothing wrong with a bit of mild stretchage, but when they're insanely stretched as well way undersized like on that 320is then they look retarded. The wheels/tyres just look too small from side on.

Find me one case where a mild stretch like the one above has been the fault of popped bead. Toyo T1S was made to be stretched... there are tires that are meant for stretching.
And further more many of the TUV regulations in europe state that the tread of the tire cannot go out more than the fender... therefore in order to run a wider rim a stretch is necessary. The above stretch on that E30 is totally safe. The fact that it looks ridiculous is subjective and is your opinion not a fact. This is a forum based on opinions so I will respect yours and I will recieve the same courtesy but dont pretend to make your opinions seem like facts... because theyre not. Laugh at me all you want with my stretched tires, cuz I will be laughing at ballons all day long.

gezz guys! You probably didnt intend it like this, but It does seem like you imposed it as a fact, not an opinion.... that just my opinion though! ;)

So how is it unsafe and does it affect how fast you can accelerate through turns?

It's hard to tell because of the rediculously undersized tires, but I don't think IE stage III would put you that low. Just get coil overs and you can get any height you want.
