Now THAT I will laugh at.

Besides, I wasn't intending to make you or anyone else believe that my statements were facts. I never claimed that they were, don't put words in my mouth.
So next time, instead of getting your panties in seven types of twists, lean back, take a deep breath, and just keep telling yourself...

    IT'S THE INTERNET.
gezz guys! You probably didnt intend it like this, but It does seem like you imposed it as a fact, not an opinion.... that just my opinion though! ;)

So how is it unsafe and does it affect how fast you can accelerate through turns?
    I rest my case.

Im just tired of people saying stretched tires are soooo unsafe and this and that. And then people that dont know any better buy into your opinion and take it as a fact. I respect your opinion on not liking them... its not for everybody. But I dont see what would be so funny about them. If they essentially serve no purpouse other than looks yet dont do anything bad then whats bad about them. I would say the only disadvantage is less lip protection. There is a point when stretching is too much. I wont stretch my tires to the point to where if I look at the tire from above I will be able to see the lip of the wheel. The above stretch is perfect in my eyes. And I will most likely do the same on my E30... by the way I already have a 195-45-15 stretch on my 15x8's :)
Ive also autocrossed my car on my wheels and I did just fine :) and Ive run this set up daily for over a year. NO problems whatsoever.

It's retarded because you want the most tread on the ground as possible. Sidewalls don't have traction. Plus the fact that if you are really pushing your car, most likely your rolling over a little onto the sidewall anyways, having stretched tires just exaggerates this effect. Plus big meaty tires just looks the buisness, instead of your mexican way of tuning. Honestly, would you rather have this:

      or this:

You showed a picture of an M3 which has more fender clearance. On racing radials

215-45-15 isnt a little bit of rubber on the road. And if they sold wider sizes I would be interested. But they dont sell wider sizes without increasing the profile. And I dont want 225-50-15 on a 9" wheel... that will be rub city. So Im pretty much forced to use that size. It will look good :)

edit: btw my car will be street car which will occasionally see autocrosses in which I will put on some 14" wheels with some falkens or something :)

I know exactly what I posted, I was just trying to prove a point.
But I'm still sticking to my guns that wide tires look awesome, and skinny tires look like shit.
              Basically your wrong, sorry.

I don't see how 225/50-15 will rub on 15x9. They fit on 15.7x5", and with a wider rim you are just stretching the sidewall so I doubt you are losing much if any clearance. Its about the offset. 225 on a 9" rim is still stretched.

There is no right or wrong. Its a personal opinion on style You just dont seem to get that. And a 15" wide wheel just doesnt look good with a large profile in my opinion... which is why I would like to stick with 215-45-15. Now how wide I go in the back is still in decision. Might be 9" might be 8.5

Looks like a normal m3 valance to me. Thats no normal late model valance.

are you even looking at the same car? the purple E30 definetly has a standard late model valance, with an is lip even.

Didn't I warn you about this board? They think stretching tires is a sin ;)

If you're running 8's up front, i'd drop to a 205 or so. That way the stretch would look closer to the rear stretch of a 215/225 on a 9.
