VERY nice Nick - I agree it'll look better that way. I can't believe how far you've taken these wheels since I sold them to you.

I do think the silver caps would look good. Repaint them silver so they look fresh like the rest of the rims.Comment

yep, i got some silver paint.
I've ran into a couple problems. First, the paint isnt covering vey well where i couldnt sand it. This means all of the corners where the spokes meet the rim. Also with every coat of paint, it pulls back my masking, so i have to try to stick it back down which doesnt work too wellComment

what kind of masking tape are you using? I had no trouble with 3m painter's masking take (I think I was using the 1" size). in fact I wouldn't use anything else, regular masking tape will absorb some of the paint and bleed it onto the surface you're trying to mask off.
also, take a peice of 400 grit sandpaper and fold down so it will fit in the coners of the spokes, and wet sand them. you need to do this in order to have a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to, or the finish will look terrible.
I'd highly reccomend clearcoating the spokes (at least 2 good coats), it might be hard to mask off the rim but it shouldn't be too bad. the paint on my wheels has held up extremely well (except for the scratches from the damn tire shops!) so the extra effort pays off.Comment

i just put on what is probably the second to last coat of gold. The coverage is not %100 perfect but its much better.
I also took the paint off the center caps and primed them.Comment
