Rear has settled a little more since driving it yesterday. 8mm spacers coming for the front to give plenty of clearance to the lower spring perches on the coil overs. Debate if I run them on the rears too and pull the guards a little.
^ doesnt look like you need to pull the rears, just roll? appears to be plenty of space back there with the slightly undersize tyre
Its closer than it looks in that pic. They are rolled, but the tyres have such a big rim protector on them that they rub when the suspension is really compressed too. Want to put a 235/40R17 on the rear down the track though, so need just a little space.
heres the pics from last night, In the rears i would need a 5mm spacer and probably a 245 series tire. Was about 2mm from the strut so the tire would rub. Outside clearance was great. So i'll be running the 245/40 in the rears,
Rears
Fronts: Not 100% sure if this is going to fit at all. hard to tell when the 255 is such a large tire. Many things can change when you go from a 255 to a 225 up front. Not sure how much more turning clearance will be gained by doing the 225. Guess we'll have to find out. This would would requre a 10mm spacer up front along with a MUCH smaller tire the rim was touching the strut tube and the tire was hitting frame on turn in....lol
There's a member and shop owner on here, his screen name is JMPAuto. He runs those wheels, on his track monster, 5 lugs, s52 powered e30.
Don't know his specs, but homeboy's ride is hella stiff., that thing has meaty ass tires too, with a nice drop.
For the rears i recommend going with something like a 245/40 or 245/45 otherwise you'll have some major rubbing issues (or skinnier if you want to go stretched)
