    Solution to Basketweave Brake Dust???

Sup guy, I know everyone hates cleaning their stock Basketweaves, as it is a annoying task to do. My dad told me about these brake dust covers, he used to install on e30s for their Basketweaves to protect from brake dust and I found them online recently....anybody try them before? My dad said it worked like a charm, considering on purchasing a set. here is the link http://www.brakedustcover.com/perfor...k=BMW&md=318is

They have been around a long long time and seem to work well. I have seen cars with them on and the wheels still get dirty just a lot less. The covers are kinda unsightly though and people typically only get the fronts.

          This stuff works really well:

I use it on the bottom of my longboard as well and dirt/road grime wipes right off.

My e30 is my daily and I drive on the exact pads 60 miles a day.
Had them in for a year now. Ceramics just need a good break in.

I can go for weeks without having to wash my wheels.

Brake dust shields can lead to overheated brakes during spirited driving.

Just find a less dusty pad, or clean your wheels more often. I clean my wheels more often and keep them waxed, which helps keep the dust from sticking in the first place.

degreaser will destroy the paint/powdercoat on your wheels.

                      Seriously?

                      Yes they are painted.
                      Silver in fact lol

I will say that the oem paint is near bullet proof but a harsh degreaser will eat it up as the brake dust does.

Great coat of wax tends to make cleaning them easy.

Less braking. Stomp the gas pedal. Less braking and go faster. More fun and less dust for sure.

Umm...no it won't unless you're using the strongest degreaser you can get your hands on without diluting it.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
