I agree, unfortunately they don't come in 15". I had a set of the DWS on my 16" RS's.

OP, i'm in the same boat as you (just bought a set of euroweaves on ebay). And I was looking at tire options in both 205/55 and 205/50 on tirerack.

I think I am going to settle for the Kumho Ecsta 4X in 205/55. It's a all season UHP, but as far as tire rack goes its got better ratings than the other summer tires for those sizes. As mentioned that is the stock size , and here is a shot of what a 205/55 will look like on euroweaves.... perfect.

I've been using Yokohama 205/55 S drives for a while. they seem to be pretty grippy & descent price range for DD and spirited canyon work. As mentioned 205/55 is closest to stock diameter so speedo/gearing is still good. No clearance issues even if car is dropped. The tread width is listed as 7.4 " so has a pretty good footprint and the 55 aspect fills the wheel well ok.

      see above ^^^ nice !

        Don't get 205/50, go with a 205/55 or a 225/50. I ran 205/50 for a while, did not like the undersize.

Wow, that's surprising! I would have thought 205/50-15 was a common enough size but I guess not.

That wheel/tire combo looks great. Can't ask for better on 15s. Is it yours? What suspension?

Yeah it was the first tire I looked up since I liked them on my RS's. That's N2MYE30's vert. Here is a link to a bunch of photos of his cars. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact specs of his setup.

Here's my Plus zero setup. 225/50/15 falkens. Surprisingly common size and tire. I had the stock 205/55/15 before but they were a bit bubbly instead of beefy.

205/60 because extra meat really helps hook up.
Also fills out that wheel gap.

Well thanks! Im running Bilstein sports with coupe H&R sports with 15mm drophats.

IMO, I think that 205/50 work on cars that are a good bit low. Its minimal but 50s show too much gap. They do make the wheels look a tad bigger off the car but matched to an e30, not so much. 50s look the part on a early Vdub or an 2002.

I'm considering euroweaves, and am having a problem that seems common on the forums - lack of tire choices in 205-55-15. I've read a lot of threads on tire size and there's a lot of opinions, so I'll ask some specific questions.

My E30 is a 92 vert with stock suspension.

                              1. Some people like 205-60-15. Other's say they "won't work". I know these have a different diameter than stock, but are there also fitment problems, or is it just the look that some people don't like? Seems to me that some additional diameter may look better with stock ride height, especially in the front.

                              2. I saw 195-60-15 listed in one thread as an option, but haven't found anyone that uses this size. Best I can tell, the diameter is really close to stock. Does anyone have experience or an opinion on this size?

                              3. Does anyone have pictures of these tire sizes on an E30 with stock suspension height?

Thanks as usual. I really appreciate all the great info on this site.
