Nothing wrong with paying $2.5k for redrilled wheels if its done right.

And whoever asked. These are forged wheels.

I can't see this happening due to tightening the lugs wrong. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that if the cb was proper, tightening the lugs like this would not warp them, the cb would help to keep them round.

I'm 95% certain this is not your fault. I think this is from a poor redrill.

For anyone reading, please do not be afraid to get your wheels redrilled. Just make sure you get it done properly by someone who knows what there doing. (Me)

Edit: I take that back, it looks like you did do this by tightening the OEM lugs down. But how, I'm not sure. That area should not be that soft, I think it's a good thing that you found this before they were drivin on.

These require tuner bolts, that should have been specified.

Again, I'm guessing here, but I think it's possible that they were not fully flush to the hub and crooked as he was tightening the lugs down and it warped the centering ring as a result.

whoever said 'not 4x100' is probably right.

looks like the wheel's drilled holes were wider (black circles) than the stock 4x100 (blue circles), so when you put the lugs in (blue dot) they centered on the stock 4x100 and forced the wheels lug openings inward causing the sides of the hub opening to collapse inward (red)

the OP should measure the lug pattern.

^ If that's te case and they were sold as 4x100 then OP should definitely get his money back.

They were filled and then drilled so unless they were tempered again they would not have the same strength as before.

NOW it makes sense. I think it was just a poor attempt at 4x100. I can't think of anything else that would cause it to deform like that, maybe they were drilled 4x108 for some reason?

I think its more like 4x98 or something like that.

I say this because he drilled them for tuner lugs, which is done to avoid cutting into the center of the wheel that the hex cap screws into, yet he still cut some of that area out.

That area looks the same on my redrills, but this is because I drill my faces to use factory lug bolts which are larger than tuner lugs.

i think it's definitely larger pcd forced to fit 4x100. if it were 4x98 then the holes would've stretched and not warped the center bore. the center bore has been distorted as though it's been compressed from the 4 lug holes.
