Never heard of them but I've been seeing a lot of good looking Alpina reps pop up. The price isn't cheap at around $1100 for the set. They look the part but who knows how well they are made. Someone has to be the first. Maybe try asking the guys in Europe?

      Look nice. Good specs.

On a related note though. Where are you guys buying your 16" low profile tires? I had a helluva time finding the set I'm running and they were sitting on a shelf for a long time before I got them. Longer than I'd like for sure.

What do you mean by low profile?

As for properly fitting tires you can buy 225/45/16 or 225/50/16 on tirerack easily.

Would love to run some 225/45/16's if possible...

I'm running some old (in terms of age) Maxxis 215/40/16 on my vert as I'm not sure I could clear anything else without the fear of rubbing. Wheels are ESM 002 16x8 et20.

The problem with the smaller sizes these days is fewer brands are making them in sizes we would like them in so the price goes up. 225/50/16 is fairly common but oversized for the E30. 225/45/16 is the factory spec size but uncommon and expensive. They are all $140+ on Tirerack. That's the main reason I shelved my 15's and 16's in favor of 17's.

^Yeah. The problem is that I would like a little more sidewall. Going to 17's would hurt that goal further I would think.

I might try some 215/45/16's and see if those clear without rubbing. Small gain... but a gain nonetheless.
