Okay, how about 17x7 et37 wheels on a late model car. What size spacers and tires would you recomend? Fenders are already moderately rolled.

It looks like 215/40/17 is the preferred size but would 225s fit? Would there be any advantage to running 225s?

Would it be possible to fit 245/35/18 on the back of late model with 18x8.5 et26?

From what i can see it should be possible with rolling the fenders flat and if needed a 3mm spacer.

I just dont want to buy and mount the tires to find out its not gonna happen. I have serched and found people running 245s on 16s just wondering if it would be possible with 18s.

couple questions i have, maybe i can be steered in the right direction.

suspension: h&r race springs with kyb (pic in my sig)
currently I rub quite a bit, mostly the actual fender when the wheel is turnt (for example, poppin up my driveway is a pain and i typically go slow as fuck...but its not really an option when i live on a semi-main road) i do plan on getting my fenders rolled, but im hoping some 16" wheels with the right tires will clear up the rubbing.

i also like the LM reps on the jlb site, but they are offset ET35 but they are 7.5" width...are these a direct fit?

and what about tires? 205/50s?

I'm going to go with Bilsteins and H&R/Eibach springs to lower the car 1", maybe a little more. I don't want it slammed for sure.

I plan to get a 15x7" wheel, probably cheaper ones like Rota or Drag.
What offset should i be looking for in combination with the widest tire i can fit?
I'd prefer not to roll the fenders. I'd like to go with Azenis or Khumo MX tires.

Ok i found someone that makes spacers that are 39mm so would the esm 002 wheels work then, or is that not a safe size. i also would like your suggestions because the dcar in your sig is TITS!

thanks, i'll try and reword the question. I would like the wheel to stick out about 2 inches past the fenders. so it would be covered by a 2 inch flare.

so how big of a spacer do I need to fill a stock early model running 8in wide 0 offset wheels? I could probably figure it out from there.

Just want to make sure if I'm doing anything wrong here:

15x8 all around.
ET25 <- (Anything required to fit correctly? Don't want super poke)
195/50 <- (Flush with rim or stretched? Sidewall too short or high?)
Fenders aren't rolled. (yet..?)

I don't really want that super Euro poke, but a tad will be fine.
Super stretch is a no no. Though a SLIGHT stretch/flush wheel fitment is grand.

The wheels will hit the front struts without spacers. 5mm is a safe amount to clear them. Since you have to do that, I'd go with a 10mm in the rear to even it out.

195/50 will look plenty stretched, go for a 205/50 instead.

Oh sorry. The stock lips are. . .uh, not sure how it works. I'm new to the multi-piece game. I think they are reverse lips, but am not sure if it is total span, or just the inner span that is measured. Pic attached.

Yeah, it's extremely confusing. I say play it safe and go with the setup I suggested, worst case scenario you just space them out slightly. I doubt you'll want to though.

I will be running 18" Alpinas on my e30 M3, got a few questions for tire size and offset:

Wheels are 18x8 et 20 up front, 18x9 et24 out back.

For pretty flush fitment, with a decent tire I was thinking:

et 12-14 up front with a 225/40/18 on the 8"

et 16-18 out back with a 245/40/18 on the 9"

Will this work? Will the tires look roughly the same size? I would really appreciate your input Jay! :D

E30 M3 = Jay is clueless on flush fitments. My data is just too scarce to make firm conclusions, as most M3 guys are so conservative. Sorry dude!

245s are too wide for the wheels. 235/40 will work though, no spacers needed back there. For the front it'll be very close to the struts, depending on the tire used you may need a 3mm.

I'd recommend 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers. 215/40 is perfect for those wheels, there is no 225 17" tire that fits E30s properly.

I think it'll fit without spacers, but fender clearance is an issue. The width of the tire is fine, but because it's almost an inch taller than stock you will likely rub on the inner fender above the actual arch (look inside, you'll see what I'm referring to). That isn't a place that's easy to mod, as anything you do to it will show on the outside.

Most guys running 245s on 16s are using 245/35/16, which is of course a full 2" shorter than your proposed setup.
