That's one size too tall on the tires. You'd want 205/55 for correct fitment.

        25.4/2 = 12.7mm
        12 - 12.7 = ~0
        Thank you sir.
And I should be able to fit a 215/50 maybe 225/45 in there right? No care about fenders, may do flares.
Not going for stance here, but I want wider tires for track and since I couldn't find any decent 8x15's, I'm going with the OZ Vega 3pc'ers I had lying around.

Will post results when I glue these babies back together.

          E36 M3 question.

What size snow tires can I run with the OEM 17x7 ET47 steelies? Had 205/50R17, but would a 215/50 be ok too? 215/55? I like a meaty sidewall.

Tires are too tall by a bit, but if you go conservative on the spacers you should only lightly scrub the front wheel well during full steering lock.

              15mm all around.

225/45 is an easier fit than 215/50. You will be pulling the fenders or adding flares to make that work.

You'll likely rub the wheel well at steering lock, but otherwise it should work. 215/50.

Test fit the wheels without spacers first. I have great success with BC's and aggressive wheels on BMWs, but we have yet to install them on an E30. With a stock setup you'd need a 3mm spacer to clear the fronts safely. But I have a hunch that it just might clear the BCs, especially if you didn't go for too long of a spring.

As for tires, 205/45 front 215/45 rear for even fitment. 215/45 all around for performance (with rolled rear fenders).

On the knife edge of requiring a rear fender roll. Most likely will, just a flattening of the inner lip.

What if i were to get ones that were 6.5 inches wide but still et40? as ive taken half an inch (approx 12.5mm) off the width with the same offset. Would i still need to run spacers?

Side note would the setup in the post above mine (16x8 et10) work without spacers?

Basically is just like to know what wheels i can run without spacers as id prefer not to run them for safety/illegality reasons.

                                Yes.
What brand and model of tires?
Because the thing with different tire brands is, some stretch and some don't even though they are the same size.
I am running Gruppe-Gs. Same weel setup. But ET15 Front, ET8 Rear.
