This is purely hypothetical for now but a 17x8.5 running 235/40 Azenis: what would be an ideal offset and how much flaring would be involved if one wasn't too low?

so i have an e36 and i want to run 17x8.5 et 13 wheels

i have 1.3 degrees of camber in the front and 2.2 in the back.

could i run 225/40/17s on them?

i have a little bit of camber to play with as well.

my fenders in the back are rolled and pulled in the rear.

What do i need to do to make these fit or are they hopless?

Alright looking at some 15" BBS Rs's.

          specs: 4x100 57.1 center bore(vw) rs 189
15x7.5 et20 i think im not positive right now but i will check
          and 15x8.5 et 8

What do i have to do to makes these fit my e30 325is?

Why not just get some wheels that fit?

With that offset, I doubt you'll be able to effectively turn your steering wheel without stupid small tires and we all know how that looks...

Widest tire on 16X7 Et28 Alpina with 10 and 8mm spacers at my disposal.

These would be for r compounds. hoping 225/50-16 would work.

can get around 3 degrees camber with plates [which i have]

to add to this, there was only one 225/40/17 tire made, it was a Toyo. good luck finding a set. also, those rims wont fit an e36 without looking goofy as hell. usually rims with that kinda offset have the spokes rediculously close to the hub, so to even mount the rim would require spacers, which in turn would make them even harder to fit.

I've been reading wheel/tire stuff for days. and I would just hopefully like to figure it out lol.

                      16x7 +15mm 205/50/16?

                      I have Bilsteins and H&R springs. 87 325is.

I wanted a 16x8. but I'm thinking I can deal with a 7. Purely cosmetic, not for performance.

+15 or -15? -15 yes, +15 would probably require some rolling at the very least...

                          Are you sure Fidhle?

I think you have that backwards.

                            +15? That's big.

                              You've got your + and - confused.

And regarding your question, does it have to be a 8.5?

For an 8" wheel the ideal offset is around +25.
