Never ever take your roads for granted. I drive 1000+ miles to get to good mountain roads along the east coast of the US that just barely rival what you guys have down there as a daily drive. An E30 on those mountains would be amazing!

I plan on running 10-15 mm spacers. What the biggest tire I can run with?

Btw, car is on coilovers and I plan on lowering to the point of just covering the top of my tires.

          Thanks.
205/50 is the max with those spacers. Need to roll the rear fenders.

195/45 or 205/40 tires, 18mm adapters, rolled rear fenders.

None, if they clear your front brakes (they won't if you have newish pads). 5mm spacers are enough for clearance.

1: Can I fit 17x8.5's front and rear with 245/40/17's front and rear?
2: If not, can I fit 17x8.5's front and rear with 235/40/17?
3: How about 17x8 in front with 235/40/17 and 17x8.5 in the rear with 245/40/17

                Thanks in advance!
I have yet to see a late E30 with E30 M3 running gear that can clear a 235/40 on 17x8 +20 (someone please chime in if they've done it). Most have to use a 215/40 for clearance, even with rolled fenders. If you're really willing to go nuts with a fender pull if it's deemed necessary, then go with either wheel spec all around with 235/40s. Going staggered is not recommended as the rear actually has less clearance than the front.

You need the [minor] stretch to avoid rubbing on your fenders.

                    On an E30?

Without flares it's not gonna happen, but that said: 255/40 will mount with a little encouragement. I'm running 245/40 on a 17x11 in my sig.

oh no the body will be flared the sh*t out.. but i saw an m coupe running 295s on a 12 rear and it looked borderline stretched and it kinda scared me.. i was thinking 285/40 but they still do have to be sitting on the inside of some flares...

BTW ur car looks awesome in that pic

Oh, for grip there are 295/35s and 215/35s. These are shorter than 285/40 and will be a lot easier to fit. Well maybe easy is a bad choice of word for the 315s, ha.

Was the M Coupe on CCWs? If so I gave him the specs for those wheels.

I am sitting on kw 60mm/40mm springs with no spring pads.

"That's a +30 offset. With 18mm adapters that is dead-on ideal. 205/45 is my suggestion."

I realize all tires run differently, but how much a stretch will that be? I don't want something super stretched. Suggestions for tires that run a little bit wide?

16x9 et 15 for the rear.

225/40 (only found one set on ebay) or 215/40 or 215/45?

                              for reference
Im running 205/45 on 16x8 with 18mm adapters now and my drop puts the fender right at the top of the tire.
