If it's an early car yes, late car no it will likely rub with rear passengers.

I was thinking about doing this as well...got any pics of this done with fitment? Did you make a jig to drill with or had them done?.....

Anyway, got a set of the Rota Slipstreams 16x8 et20 and they currently have 215/40 16s on them which need to be replaced. No rubbing issues. Just not enough tire for me.

I see you recommend the 205/50 16s but is it worth it to rent a fender roller and spend the extra money for the 225/45 16s? Would that be all that is needed to run the 225/45s? There is a significant price and selection difference between the two just by looking at Tire Rack.

Hmm hello, trying to fit some Varrstoen V3 16x9 et15. Tire choice is going to be 205/45 (Federals to be exact) I'm already assuming that a small spacer (5mm) would be needed for the front to clear. Fenders are already rolled. Suspension is Bavauto/BillyHD fronts and KYB rears. Someone please confirm this before I start ordering the wheels. Thank you.

                4X ESM RS002 16x9 4x100 bolt pattern ET15 57.1mm hub bore

What size tires would fit best and spacers for the front? Thanks in advance.

Stuck in a similar situation. I've got a 8.5" in the front and ET 17, want to know what tires I need to fit.

i got a free set of style 42's. 17X8.5 i believe. they have 235/45/17 on em. Ive read that size rubber will never work... What size rubber would i need to run them and what spec adapters? im still 4 lug... MAN i love these wheels... may have to sell though.. wish they came in like a 15..
                    Now with 2.7i power!!!

Most 225/45/16s will fit with just a basic rear fender roll. May I suggest the Dunlop ZII.

205/45 and 5mm. 215/40 works also but leaves you with a bit less ground clearance.

Lots will fit, more depends on what you have in the rear and if you want them to match.

                            205/50, 205/45, 215/45, 225/45, etc all fit.

18mm adapters and 195/40 or 205/40 tires (rear fender roll needed).
